I'm struggling at the lower part, a steer on 33a please? And 30a, for which I have most letters! Did someone say not in Chambers?
I'm obsessed with maps for charts, but presumably charts has to lose a letter.

30a chats not chaRts...defn is a crystal

33a s is extra....Us spelling of a word for force (ie missing a "u") then add O (circle) for an Australian 12-a-side-ball-game

Thanks I suddenly saw the theme, filled the surround, and all done now except middle cell of 28a, can't parse that one, being a Scot I know a word for bounces (a ball) but don't see how that works?

28a - It's O - if you scroll down a bit further in Chambers the "spring/bounce word you'll see, with S(on) added at the end it also means (sharp) "blows"
