Many thanks to all who entered this week’s challenge.

Dorrien@14 and Mattrom@13 each received 1 vote.
In third place with 2 votes is Culmer@19.
In second place we have Mattrom@29 with 4 votes.
However, the winner with 5 votes is Geeker@4 …

Beowulf? Grendel has no right to be confused (6)

Congratulations Geeker, the clips are (loosely) inspired by some of the clues, starting with yours…

Beowulf & Grendel (Geeker)

The Golden Fleece (Mattrom)
https://youtu.be/6dXRzdhg2Rc

Eddy Merckx (Tyke)

Guinevere (Buddy)
https://youtu.be/2nevSzaTLtA

Ariadne and the Minotaur (Culmer)
https://youtu.be/MvS902JCGJA
(sorry it’s the entire film, but I couldn’t find a clip! Skip to 1:27:00 for Ariadne, Theseus and a rather dodgy looking Minotaur :-)

Well done Geeker - a richly deserved win! Thanks for mentions Mattrom and Geeker. Enjoyed the clips and the challenge Jono - sport seems to produce famous names, like Merckz or Pele who become legends - I managed to see Pele (playing for Santos) but Le Tour never came to Yorkshire in those days!

Well done, Geeker, and cheers, Jono for the challenge and the great selection of clips. I always felt some sympathy for the Hydra 🐍
A multiple thank you to Tyke, FJ, Patrich, SS, Buddy, Dorrien and Paul for the votes and mentions.

Congrats geeker. Thanks jono - that minotaur seems right out of "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak.
