Only just started but initial thoughts are this seems quite tough. I don't get where the last 4 letters come from in 11d.

And is the second word in 14d an old fashioned item you don't really here used much these days? If it is it makes the crossers look a bit weird.

I found this a bit of a “curate’s egg” help please with 12ac.to finish it for me

OK thanks Jono. I may be going down totally the wrong route with 14d. The first word seems obvious but maybe not so as I can't think of another word that comes after it.

i can see an answer that fits the definition for 26a, and 3 of the letters parse, but i can't see how the first 2 and last one are clued

Chris, for Harris think current politics (the word is an Americanism).
26a I made the same mistake. It’s not the word you’re thinking off, but the 3 letter acronym you have in the middle is correct. Defn is at the end of clue, not the beginning
