I'm fairly confident 6 Down is "Twerk" based on T_E_K and the first half of the clue, but the wordplay leaves me confused.

"Shake booty, reporting quickly to beaver?"

Is it because Twerk is sort of a homophone of "to work" which could be "to beaver"? Seems a stretch but possible.

Yes that is how I parsed it. "Reported" = sounds like. "Quickly to beaver"= t'work, as in to beaver away at something. I reckon the compiler chose the word beaver for its other, rather ruder meaning in slang as a red herring.
