19a) I have a state in an Asian country. But I can't see how this fits with the "detailed objective" part.
Is it military slang, maybe?

19a - Yes, 3 letter "state" and a 4 letter "objective" (as in 'aim' or 'ambition') minus its last letter/'detailed'.

So I've come to a halt in the SE. Bit like Eunice.

Left with 22a, 23d and 26a.

I think 22a is the one that is drawing the most blanks. I can't even fathom out which part is the definition.

I have managed to get 26a by trial and error. Not a word I have ever heard of.
