I enjoyed this. Thanks, Everyman! Very few write-ins, at least for me but every other clue doable with a bit of thought. Lots of good clues esp. 10, 18 and 27 but COD 8 which made me smile.

Took hours to get going -- found it very hard -- but all the tips from the forum enabled me to solve it fast. Thanks all!

Wow! If there has ever been a more complete Everyman, then I don't remember it.

This was such a step up in quality that I wonder if Phil may be right and that it's by a different setter?
