Wow! Finally finished what turned out to be a very interesting and entertaining endgame ,but this was not easy.

Some of the clues were absolutely brutal and not initially knowing where they went meant a large portion had to be cold solved.

Thankfully, I was able to identify the locations and "feats" and this, in turn, helped mop up the last of the extra consecutive letters., but ....

* Working distantly or, not playing ar(oun)d, with attitude (8)

I have the answer from the definition and think I've identified the extra letters but can't see the wordplay - is it to do with ploughing?

hi brendan - it's a subtractive anagram ("working" the first set of letters, but without anagram of the reduced word, "not playing ar(oun)d'. Agree this was extremely tough - but very satisfying to finally complete!
