I'm afraid my Pauline intuition is not sufficiently acute, so I would still appreciate hints for 5d. It's my last one to finish.

I don't think it's a fair clue, rainman. As I parse it, one part is US, another French, neither indicated.

rainman - it was my last one too - single letter for money folllowed by Americanism for behind, then (I think) single letter for you (not indicated) surrounded by three letters for not ... def is last five words ... convoluted

Thanks. I have never come across that phrase before. Is this one-letter abbreviation for ‘you’ common in crosswords?
