Thanks, penda, I enjoyed it (and the '----M' idea is interesting) my only issue regards the timing - it's very, very early.

Loge, if you google "the Thingy" + crosswordsolver.org. you can see how clever it was. The site was not moderated as much and so some of the language/antics remained !
