I apologise for being the first to start this thread, in view of the fact it's a glorious day in sunny Cheshire, but circumstances have dictated that I've had to wait in for a delivery.

You'll be pleased to know - perhaps you won't - that I finished it in the usual time for most of us but a word of warning - 23a! I've always known this martial art to be three words not one and two dictionaries - one of which was Chambers - confirm this to be the case.

re the beano crossword thread,it was started by somebody using my name trying to make me look thick.(probably stan,sue,todd etc, who are all the same poster).
I didn't get the gist of your reply;
"I take it you have not been to the pub yet. Might help if you did"
