Very sorry, roof - only the P is right in 18d...

roof, 18D is wrong, both the D and the S are wrong.

I have answers for everything after using a missing letters solver for 5 and 15 but I can't parse a few of them (5, 9, 15 and 16 I can't parse but will look at the rest of the thread now).

Looking through the thread it looks like my original parsing of 16 is correct with the first 3 letters being a part of a team in sport I guess and can also mean off, dunno where the better part comes in though really.

I can only parse the first 3 letters of 9 across it must be correct though. I can only see a River in 15A and the rest doesn't make sense to me.

16 better (as a verb) is the definition. Parses as 3 letters for off and 5 for study group

9a the last 3 letters are an example of a “see” (in a religious sense). An old crossword favourite

One step forward and two back. I think I need a hint for 25ac and 18d.

I have answers for 5d and 9ac. I can't parse 5d, but think I have 9ac right.

I think I now have 16ac and 13d (though I have never heard of the latter)

A hint for 21ac might help too.
