Hi - wondered if anyone could explain 51 across - I got the answer as "WINNINGS" but struggling to get from "will get to turn better" to "innings"

Clue was "Head of Weflip will get to turn better profits"

Head of Weflip = W and an innings is a turn (in cricket).

Thanks Dob, "innings" had occurred to me but seemed not to use all the words and be a bit of a stretch given the "will get to" wording . For example why is "better" in the clue?

51a better profits or gambler profits = winnings.

Am thinking this is probably TALLY HO (which fits the 'Yard put on hobo's case' part of the clue, though I don't get the rest). If so the first letter of the second word of 43A would be a T.

And suggestions would be appreciated.
