A quick solve but very enjoyable I thought. The theme is unmissable from a quick read through the clues but for every clue/solution to be on theme is quite an achievement. There is a product name which I’m not sure non-UK solvers will have heard of, but the wordplay is straight forward. In fact, it came up before in the cryptic earlier this year.
Thanks to Everyman for a fun puzzle and best wishes to all for the New Year!

Merry Christmas all. Snowed here overnight ( Yorks Dales ) - looks pretty. Cosmo for 1a take an 8 letter word for handsome and drop last 4 letters. Then add 2 letters for a key job. Enjoyed today's and the clever theme. Stuck on 12d and 13a so additional hints will be welcome.

I just checked. Overate is past tense. Any hint for 12d?

But although I'm not finished I would like to vote for 21d as my COD. But if I have got 13a correct ?O?L then that is a contender.

A fun puzzle for today.

12d is a type of golf club and a synonym for complain . Is a song by Babybird any relation to 1ac ?

Cosmo ... I think you're misreading the definition word - overate, not overrate.
Yevrah - 13A is a killer. Two-word clue and I didn't know either of them was a synonym for the answer! A one word clue will give you the answer instantly. Do you want it?
