51 Astonish - floor, dumbfound etc. A S, a second, then an anagram of No....

63 Run For It, double definition.

6 Motion, double definition.

Thank you very much Malone. I now have the complete quotation from Nursery Times apart from a four letter word before 'Successful', which should be in the top right hand corner of the puzzle.
Can anyone tell me please what that word is?
Thanks.

Glad I could help, Hally.

The word is 'very' - I think that's the slight change from the original wording. I really enjoyed finding the words from all the letters given, the AAA BB stuff.

An earlier post had FEATURED, others had FEATURES. I no longer have my copy, but can't you just tick off the Ds and Ss listed? That should confirm which it is.

It should indeed be 'fearured'. Note the facility to count the letters on the top left of the page. 'Features' would provide one S too many.

I found this one a bit of a drudge, rather like the Times Jumbo on a Saturday, when you have to keep plodding through a muddy field of allusions towards a diminishing horizon. It all seems like a chore and devoid of entertainment.
And I find Cyclops' persistent scatology a bit tedious after all these years ...stuck in the 4th form.
But at least the prize values us solvers .... for Pete's sake, many puzzles still feature £20 book tokens ! That'll hardly keep me in Parker Jotters!

Although I do concede that the anagram. for Presbyterians did make me laugh ....

It's 'featured', not 'features' but being reluctant to pore over all my copies, I used 'hit musical' instead of 'lullaby' which just wouldn't let me solve 12 across! Eventually I wised up.
