Came to this late - I didn't get round to doing last week's until yesterday afternoon - and I have ground to a bit of a halt. I have a full grid apart from the middle letter of the altered 17 across. I don't think the cell should be left blank but can't see what goes in it to produce the obvious contribution to the pseudonym. Any nudges/violent shoves in the right direction would be more than welcome.

The unchecked letter is actually the 3rd letter of the 4 letter insert, not (as you might think) the 2nd letter - so only one word is possible if your other letters are correct, alwayspuzzled.
