[In #21, the “initially” only applies to ‘fast’ … the other four letters being stand-alone abbreviations, per Chambers. I realised this was unduly restrictive on what words I could use!]

Great clues so far. Could I get clarification for;

paul 5 - not seeing 'treatment'
mprs 25 - who is the alchemist?
patrich 19 - I'll probably kick myself, but not seeing the first part.

19 is F (as in US fighter planes F16 etc) + lame. Not sure on the other two
