As for PRECIPITATE, I think it's a double definition....in jonos list...first definition HEADLONG and the second definition (synonymous with plunge, I guess)

8d. To run away from is to ‘scarper’. One who finds fault is one who carps, so a ‘carper’. And a “snaky character” i.e. a letter that snakes around, is ‘S’
