Thanks both, I see 6d now.
Crikey that's not a letter I expected in the first unclued!

I think it would have been better if the preamble had said correct letters, rather than corrected ones. If, say, BOX has to be corrected to BOY, then it is the X that has been corrected, no?

I've hit a snag.

I need an R from the misprints to make FOR but the only place I can see where it goes is at 30a - but "poet's scheme" exactly matches my answer. Unless it's "To A" instead of "For A" but then that makes the F misprint in 28a wrong!

Also, at 12a I had E as a misprint as the definition in Chambers is "large planE but that messes up the first word!

Cancel the first problem, I see the R misprint is in the 4th word of 28a.

There's no misprint in 12a, brendan. Alternative technology seems to be AT, and that's involved in the "scheme".

For your 30a, change the second letter in the fourth word to get the letter you want.

Thanks Orson.

My problem with 12a is with the definition. I see from the other letters making up the first word that there is no misprint but, Chambers defines the answer a planE (tree) which is one letter away from "PLANT". I mean, a tree is a plant but why pick a word where there was room for debate?

In fairness to Chalicea, the first definition of "tree" in Chambers starts with "a large plant".

Brendan, the misprint is in the definition so towards the end of 28a, I think.

I can only find one possible entry for 13a but cannot parse it. I'm expecting an I from the correction.

Notnil, the first part of 13 A is a common Scottish loved one (a favourite in Scrabble too) and a two-letter 'certainly'.

The misprint is in the first word of 13 across. It parses as a two-letter Scots word for a loved one + two-letter word/abbreviation for yes, all right etc.
