Agreed - enjoyable and very neatly done.

A neat puzzle indeed. May I confirm that the Trickster has no checked letters? Can't see an alternative.

The one I've highlighted has one letter cross-checked (the final letter) but the rest are unchecked.

I can see a possibility with no checked letters but it's shorter, and the preamble stipulates 6 letters.

Very enjoyable. I have cracked it but wondered if a couple of clues were accurate.

In the long across one, should it be "crews" not "crew". I have the short hairy man, but cant see how the letters are "regularly". Any help would be appreciated.

I'm with you on the "crew" and the Chambers phone app doesn't have the list of names so the little moustached man was my LOI. I think it's ..

the "regularly" only applies to Langley, so it's "At" minus the T as the extra letter then every third letter of LanGleY.

I wondered if 22A was accurate:

I put Genoese but cant parse it unless Ge is short for Georgia
