Hi Chris

They were my favourite band in the 60s/70s. I saw them live at Uni. I saw some of them in a revised group (without the great Viv Stanshall of course) a few years back in Exeter. I used to have a copy of that LP. I'm not sure what happened to it. I have a friend who could sing/recite all the lyrics. I think my favourite among many was "Roy Rogers on Trigger".

By the way, I finished the crossword this morning with some help from my friend in Sheffield. It helped when I realised I'd got 8d wrong.

Dazymay, I'm not doing the puzzle but looked at the clue online. Your 'i' is wrong.

Dazymay, I know why you have an “i” in 14a. I did the same. The answer to 14 is a very similar word which has more to do with speaking the language than fondness for the country
