Thanks Malone, at least I know I've got it right.

I was also a tad puzzled by 11d where I initially thought the answer was hidden/"limitless" in 'Oslo needs" making "cash" the extra word - it's very unusual to have 2 different means of arriving at the same answer.

I really enjoyed reading about the theme up in your neck of the woods - perhaps a visit on the cards 😀

Brendan, thanks. I feel I caught myself out again by not checking Chambers properly the first time round... looking up only the answer, rather than the shorter word. I'll learn... one day!

It was an interesting theme, something I knew nothing about. I thougt you'd also be pleased with all the use your pens and coloured pencils will be getting - last week's Inquisitor, this week's EV.

You're absolutely right, so much so, in fact, that I had to buy a new set of highlighters this week! 😃

Brendan, I'm sure the additional expense was balanced out by the joy you felt?!

Unfortunately my highlighters in the appropriate colours proved far too dark. I had to do a new 'neat' (for me) copy and resort to my old faithful crayons. It was a great puzzle though and it also brought back happy memories of a holiday from long ago.
