This appears to be GREENROOM but I'm unable to find any link between "chance" and "room". Is anyone able to educate me on this please?

Room and chance could be seen as synonyms for ‘opportunity’ perhaps

Zinc, I think "room" and "chance" have a possible link in the phrase "room for improvement" but it's tenuous, I agree.
