Not a headbanger like yesterday's holiday cryptic/prize. Many anagrams. FOI 41 quickly followed by 5d - and pretty much plain sailing though the rest. Very enjoyable. Thanks, Everyman.

Apologies Alzy, I did check to make sure there wasn't another thread but, when I went back to post mine, I noticed a couple of typos and in the time it took me to correct them you'd started you thread. I've emailed Norah and asked to remove whichever she chooses and add any posts from that one to the other.

Speaking of typos I meant FOI 4a not 4I. LOI 10d

Hi, alzy and Brendan,
I'll post here and let Norah decide.
Thanks to Everyman, fun to solve but on the easy side. Saw the long clues quickly, which helped. Unusual Everyman today, I see no theme (surprise :-) ), but no rhyming pair or long "first letter" clue either.
FOI 2.
COD also 9 over 15, 6 and 4.
LOI 7, which I question. If my answer is correct, don't understand why "of booze" is necessary.
Pity about yesterday's Maskarade, the theme was one I like and know a lot about, but that kind of puzzle is not my bag. The almost indecipherable instructions particularly put me off.

No worries, Brendan. It's happened to me before. I was only about a minute or so ahead of you. We'll let Norah figure it out.

Hi Geeker, hi Alzy,

I think the Everyman has mini themes, like rhyming pairs and last week's alliterative answers, but I think that's about as far as it goes, although I could be wrong - and usually am:-)

I think we should keep adding to this thread and then, when Norah removes mine, she'll only have the one post to move.

Brendan,
I was wrong, there is indeed a rhyming pair!
I believe you're correct: Everyman doesn't seem to have big themes, but there could be a couple of (very) mini-themes today.

Hi all,
Another interesting experience as the long ones almost solved themselves from the enumeration.
There is the “primarily look clue, although I would have used an alternative spelling. And the rhymes - sort of.
I would have though 26a a location rather than a situation but the dictionary supports his use.
Definitely not an unpleasant experience like yesterday and, no, I have not made mush headway there. Lack of inspiration I guess.

Straightforward this week after not even trying the prize yesterday, what will I do rest of bank holiday weekend?

And 26A is neither a location or a situation it's a Ricky Martin song surely.

A bit red-faced about missing both the "primary" and the rhyming pair! Easier than usual Everyman, breezed through without needing to reflect for long.
