Really struggling with the clues today. Can anyone help with 7a:
Women described by letter and book folio. (5) there may be an extra letter in the definition, or may be longer than 5.

Hi Jogamel, I know the feeling! I have actually completed this but I don't think I've ever finished a puzzle with so many unparsed answers.
Having done it I then spent almost as much time parsing 8 or more clues that I found utterly baffling at first.
I would have said it borders on unfair/silly, but if I completed it, it's not impossible, so maybe not.

A really enjoyable puzzle, and for me a 'Goldilocks' - not too hard and not too easy.
However, I still haven't worked out the wordplay for 1 dn - it's one of the thematic answers, and has 10 letters. Defn is first word of clue, and I think I see the first three letters of the answer as 'rudimentary ... say', but I'm stumped on the rest. Can anyone supply a parse please?

Thanks for this muraria, How easy it is to be led up a blind alley - I was looking for some Yorkshire dialect word!

No problem, PS, as a Yorkshire man (but not from Leeds) I went through my unofficial mental Tyke dictionary too!

Very tough, but 90% done. Surprised to see relatively few posts.
I have 2d, 7d, 32a, 34a, 29d and 43a left. I’d love to know if any are not ones that need treatment.
Also confused by start of the quote, it starts with two vowels? Although I can see the important word later.

Only 34a is a straight clue (there are 3 definition mixes and 2 thematic entries).
The single vowel that starts the quote is in 7a.
