almost there , but the impaler always strikes towards the end ... stuck on 2 and 13 - and I can't see where the pandemic measure exchange is

2 involves an exchange, 13 has 2 superfluous words and 14 involves the pandemic measure exchange.

got 2 straight after posting! ... but 21 must end in y so I can't make that exchange work ... still working on 13

14 does end in "y", unaltered after the exchange. There are 2 similar expressions used; both with the same "2nd part" so it might not be the first to come to your mind.

thanks on 14 - hadn't remembered the girl could be spelt with an e ... still working on 13 but I will crack it in time.

I've completed the grid, but have found only nine treated clues - five across and four down. Any suggestions about what I might have missed?

I am complete except that I still cannot crack 13, despite having deducted the 2 words. I also seem to have only 9 treated solutions - and I had 22 across - think there is a spare word in 30 but can't find the connection ...
