DavidW, yes, if you insert the first letter of agenda into the answer you’ll get a word meaning ‘provokes’.

Hello all
Well, I'm certainly not as rapid as everyone else here, and I found it more difficult than the usual Everyman, but I'm finally on the last clue. 15d I have G-A-A-R and I'm completely stumped. I do wonder if my second A is right. Any pointers, please.
Cheers

Yes, your second A is wrong.

What's the definition in 10a?

Hi Chris and thanks
I took the A out and it became obvious - doh! In 23 had an alternative two letters for gold which makes the word sound the same.
Basically, I spelled it wrong.
Cheers

Maybe it's because it's a beautiful sunny day here in London or maybe I'm just in a good mood but .... whatever! This is one of my favourite Everyman's.

Judging by the comments, I didn't find as easy as some of you but no matter - it was good fun😜

COD - I thought this was going to be a tough decision this week with so many good ones to choose from. There's the excellent 12a which was initially top of my list but I felt it was lacking an "is" or "'s" after 'golfball'. Then we have the lovely Latin lover in 15d which is just charming. But, for me, one clue stood head and shoulders above the rest - the deceptively simple:-

19d - Not my mistake, putting junk in stable (6)

Thanks to Everyman for a lovely Sunday diversion:-)

See you all next week:-)

I enjoyed this too. Spotting the pattern in the three long ones helped me to get to four to do. Turned to the forum and grateful for the hints to 16a and 23a which enabled me to finish. As a golfer, COD has to be 12a - haven't had to say it too often lately, the problem has been on the greens. Enjoyed the second half of 16a in similar vein to 12a - clues that make you smile!
