Thanks again. I always seem to struggle on that last part of an endgame....more so on The Listener, but it can be very frustrating.

I more than struggle Tony. Please can someone help me with a couple of elusive clues?
27d: law imposed from Paris giving stick - mostly in exotic holiday destination. I have BA?LLI (realising this is thematic but completely stuck.)
8d: lustful old man taken to heart by doting French writer - I have ARO?ET

Jogamel, for 27 there's a four-letter holiday destination and most of 'sick'...

The answer to 8 down is Voltaire's real name. There a letter to be removed from this clue.

I’m back again. Just realised I have 3 missing answers and I am running out of patience.
4d: initially the type to embrace a spot of religion I have TI?H?
9d: maybe like little Gem lettuces orders stacking up. I have ROU?
Then 13a: they wind ropes about aboard ships making return trip. I have SP?O?ERS

4d 'h' is wrong - def is the Hindu forehead spot (by another name) - 't' followed by 3 letter word for 'type'/sort (around) 'a'
13a a 5 letter ship (reversed) with re = 'about' inside - all reversed.
9d is thematic - full answer is hidden in the clue (reversed).

...sorry, 6 letter ships reversed.
