Thanks for all the helpful hints. Not quite there yet - for 9d Expose a hunter's balls, the only answer that fits and makes sense is Unearth, but can anyone parse this for me?

Unearth, expose, is an anagram (balls, rubbish etc) of 'a hunter'.
