A very welcome relaxation after the rigours of yesterday's Tramp! Unlike yesterday, I didn't need any help from the forum for this, and I immediately saw some that others found tricky. (Eg I got 1a before looking at 4d so 'That hurts!' pointed me to the last word without misdirection; I visited a pub of my youth last week so was freshly reminded of waiting in the beer garden for Dad to emerge with my 11d)
FOI 10a, LOI 9a, COD unquestionably 20a (not only because of its elegance but where else would cod be?)

Very drΓ΄le Luko. Stuck on my LOI 24A. I have -e-n-r-f-l but no word fits so I must have gone wrong somewhere.

Hi Teewens,

24a - 2 letter "Everyman" + anagram/"wave" of 2 words in the clue minus 1 letter/"nothing to lose" - definition is "telling".

Your R is wrong (remember, 13d is one of a rhyming pair)

26a is my problem.. Got it from the definition part of the clue but the rest of the clue is foxing me! Any pointers to parsing would help me..

Hi Coffindodger,

26a - You're going to kick yourself:-)

The key is "to start with" then read the clue again.
