Congrats mattrom and thanks buddy.

I wouldn't have liked to be lectured by that guy - I couldn't hear much that he was saying!

(When I was a chemistry student at Cambridge, I was looking forward to lectures on organic chemistry by Peter Sykes, who had written a great book on organic mechanisms. He was dreadful. He recognised that many students wouldn't bother to go to his lectures, but he lost grip on reality and recorded them on cassette tape, putting the tapes in the library for students to "listen to them later" (as if!). The last straw for me was when he had been talking for about forty minutes he looked down and said "I've forgotten to start the recorder". He started it, then went back to the beginning of the lecture and repeated the first forty minutes!)

Chrise

I was once at an Engineering lecture where the Lecturer described a blast furnace as being `a magnificent erection` ... he never did understand why we all fell about laughing!

Well done Mattrom - thanks Buddy, thanks for mentions Mattrom, Fiery, Dorrien & Mprs - very much appreciated.

Had I known my vote was so crucial, I would have held out for bribes. Congrats, mattrom, well deserved. Thanks, buddy, for the hosting and clips. I'm curious what you all thought of the first clip, in the sense of how easy it was to follow.

Mathprof, I kind of got the first clip though it was fast and I had to press pause a few times, I did like the animation!
It’s curious to me how many crossword fans have science/maths (and music actually) backgrounds
