Easiest ever Inquisitor since I started doing them 3 or 4 years ago. 2 long rather obvious anagrams to start with. SW corner took me as long as all the rest, and the cells to "colour in" were fairly easily spotted.
Certainly not too taxing. We swap puzzles when the Listener is a numeric, so the last IQ I got was the Fire of London one. Bit different......
I agree on 48 cells for the message.
Agreed - I found this by far the most straightforward Inquisitor since I started on them about 18 months ago. Also assisted by the fact that, for once, I was familiar with the theme. Delighted to be able to dedicate this Saturday afternoon and all Sunday to other things!
I am a massive fan of Chalicea's puzzles and enjoyed this, but could have done with something more meaty as the numerical Listener means a week off for me. This IQ would have been an ideal companion to last week's Listener, or perhaps the musical box one.
Like others, I found this enjoyable but relatively straightforward, just a couple of minor hiccup (35a and 35d) resolved by Chambers.
Left me plenty of time to gird my loins for the Listener numeric today!
Agree, I solved this one in record time. Less time than I spent on the Harpers Puzzle, which I thoroughly recommend (as usual).
Having said that, I have to admire the construction, with such a long 'hidden' message.
