41a "Significant points made by e.g. Canterbury fellow on return journey" (5).

N?D?S. Tried going down the Chaucerian route but couldn't see anything there; only thing I can see is NODES as significant points?

Any help much apppreciated

Canterbury is in SE England.
A fellow is a don.
Reversed gives "nod ES".

Thank you Buddy but still don't see these.

19a Does 'ret' mean 'to soak'?

28a Does 'pin' mean 'cask' and does 'acol' mean 'bidding'?

9d. Now I've goggled the answer (hadn't heard of it) I see that cineraria is a plant, but where's the urns and such places?
