Anyone doing this? I have about half the grid but am very stuck

I'll be happy to tell you where the 'break' occurs in a couple of clues if you let me know which ones you'd like help with.

I have four to go in the top left, but it's definitely been a case of many short sessions, getting stuck at the end of each one and coming back later.
I started with a hyphenated cricket position at 32a that fitted the answer but still turned out to be wrong!
5d is actually two words in Chambers, but hyphenated online in Chambers Word Wizard (which has been helpful with several answers, incidentally). Perhaps Azed didn't check the book.

Hello Jack - thanks, that's what I'd imagined. They're coming slowly now but still about 6 to go. Idn, 9 dn and 10ac would help enormously.

1d - the break is at Re/al. The inserted word is divided [4,1], where the first part completes a word and the last part begins one. A knowledge of the book or film is essential!

9d - the break is at l/ed and the inserted word is divided [5,2].

10a - the break is at m/uck and the inserted word is divided [2,6,1].

Finished now... at least I think so, but I can't make 14a fit an undevilled version. It might be wrong but I can't see anything else that fits the grid (I have a vehicle).

Fat chance of coming up with a decent clue for 6d anyway, but that puzzle was great fun to solve.

You are correct - there is a spacing change involved right at the start...

I probably will have a go at sending a clue in, even if it's a weak one. The more the merrier from Azed's point of view.

Oh yes, do send in an entry - I've even submitted one myself this month, though it may be too naughty even for Azed!
