I am being really dense today. Totally stuck. I have looked at the help on the forum but still struggling - I can’t even think of the 5 letter b word for ‘move’ that Brendan has helpfully hinted about. Can you give me another clue without just telling me the word? Frustratingly, it being Paul, I think I know the direction the clue is heading in, but I can’t get it.

Think of "move" as an order when, say, you want people to make room on a sofa - you might say "b...... up".

M - is a term I'd never heard of but it's in Chambers. You want 2 "holiday islands" the first is 8 letters minus T(ime) then 3 letter "tory" then the second 5 letter Island - definition is "noted montage" - the key being "noted"
