Same here, with 5 letters!
I was not all that keen on the double homophone at 3d or the spoonerism at 7d. The rest was mostly enjoyable though.
I found it far more difficult that the Guardian prize last weekend.

I've heard it both ways, but my family always used the two syllable version too.

I think I can share one of my favourite coffee shop stories without spoiling now. The market coffee stall at Blackburn offered cappuccino, but in case that wasn't enough, it also advertised muggaccino...

As usual I'm at the coos tail as we say in Scotland. Bottom right corner has got me stumped except 27ac. COD is 18 across one of my all time favourites.
