Never tried either The Listener or IQ.
I am very much a beginner at EV types of puzzles. Only started last autumn when they ran a series of 'easier' puzzles along with hints on the Big Dave 44 site.
Ridiculously pleased with myself when I can even get some answers in an EV as I have spent years looking at them then giving up before I even started.

I'm obviously playing catch-up with EV, and this is now a cold puzzle. May I ask how the hoops/playing cards are depicted?

Another super puzzle, Just EV 1470 to tackle and I will be up to date with the Holy Trinity😊

Ken, from memory, you should be able to see the words ‘playing cards’ in the shape of a hoop on the right hand side of the grid.
