Well yes, not so difficult, but as Loge says, I learned something and the end game was rather fun once I read up enough to find out what I was looking for.
I'm rather irritated with the end game. Spent an extra hour looking for the last thematic item, and the one I finally found doesn't really fit with what I learned in history. At best it is debatable that it belongs, and one of the three logical choices was omitted. Grr.
I've been looking for a final 6 letter one, and can find one cryptically, though it's not as "geographically" correct as my 4 and 8's in relation to the other feature
Finally sussed the misprints and finished all of the instructions. I think this was an excellent puzzle spoilt by too many relatively simple clues - especially a lot of straightforward anagram indicators.
