50 clues from 19 setters, of whom 11 have voted so far.

Favorites were bbm2 @31 for the math-related clue (of course), mattrom @47 for the topicality especially, and buddy @22 and @50. The last would have gotten my vote for the clever use of Beethoven's 9th for the letter n, but I am not a fan in general of part of the wordplay doing double duty as the definition. Can I just give 1/3 of a vote to each of the remaining? If not, my vote goes to buddy @22 because I was stingy with his other clue, but mostly because it wasn't easy to get a hidden word clue for "standard."

I am not especially interested in cars and don't know about you and motors,, mattrom. I did not choose the word with this prize in mind. However, it had to be the Standard 8 for the correct number of letters. At least the clip is fairly short. i did drive Morris Minors from the 60s to the 80s.
