Congrats Aristo, I loved the defn, and many thanks Mattrom for mentions of 6 and 51.
Also to Chris - I love the Lake District so Hawkshead was a fun reference for me ;)
If anyone has feedback on my clue @31 I’d be interested to hear it, does it work?

Bravo, Aristophanes. Loved the cheeky clue. (Pun intended, of course.)

Thanks for hosting, Mattrom. Great word to encourage everyone to rise to the challenge, and there was some great cluing.

Buddy @58: Was "gut feeling" an intentional reference? (A DEVO song for everyone else's information.)

Jono, Re #31. I'm not sure if I got it right, but I took it as 'e' being the 'tail' of 'dovE'. Fancifully, a capital E looks like the pins of a dovetail joint.

Paulh #60. In the hippy days I was considered "square, man!", and secretly envied the Bad Girls. Perhaps it's time.....

I just got home and checked in here. What an honor; there were quite a few corkers. Thanks so much to the lovely hipster mattrom for tolerating the Americanism (as noted above, one that I don't use). I loved the prize; I happen to be a woodworker and can sooo appreciate such mastery. You folks are an impressive bunch. I'll try to come up with something nifty for the next challenge.
