20a I found amusing for some reason, so it’s my clue-of-the-day.

I read an article about the recent sudden and unannounced demise of 6d. Made me feel sad, even though I have never tried one!

I haven't shaved for a few days (I'm trialling a mini bread) so am very 20a at the moment - that said, it's very itchy so will probably shave it off tonight.

I have never heard of 6d and I'm guessing it's too late to try them:-(

Got them all including the parsing of 1 down. So I have finished. I have all the crossers for 5d too, but can't parse it, but I'm sure it meets the definition.

I'm off to catch up on the last two episodes of Gardeners World, which I missed.

it's a type of cake minus the last letter (shortcake) plus a (2,1) phrase for could I be?

I've just joined this forum, after finding the threads so helpful the last few Saturdays. Could someone help me with 14a please? I have s-a-l/-d- so I think I know the first word (synonym for minor?) but can't figure out the whole thing
