Blimey ...that was trickier than recent ones!

A belter of a puzzle, I loved it.

I really loved the clues and the gridfill, but now, after a FUTILE search in ODQ, I am no nearer finding the VILLAINS. Hints anybody?

It helps to be a fan of the show in 14a (2nd version)

Another fantastic puzzle. The quote isn't in my ODQ 4th Edition but that didn't hold me up - it's a widely known phrase even if you don't know the origin.

After a good run this week I am now stuck at a final hurdle. Can anyone help me with 23 down? I'm just irritatingly missing the third (unchecked letter.

Otherwise an excellent puzzle and thoroughly enjoyable.

It's a subtractive anagram/"criminal" of "obnoxious Arab" minus single letter for "ten" and 4 letters for "debts". Unchecked third letter is N.

I was making heavy weather of this clue. Next up on the clipboard is Guardian 28261 - an excellent setter so should be good!

Could some kind soul please help with my futile attempts to trace the quotation in my ODQ (6th Edition)?
