Thank you aldobear. I had noticed the closing date ........ some people like to get quizzes done early and then get on with the next one. I do so many I don't like then piling up. I thought this was a help forum !

I also do a lot of quizzes, but with 5 months to go, surely you've got plenty of time to put it aside and have a think? Is it any wonder you didn't mention the closing date!

Why is the closing date so important ....... I can try to finish the quiz at time I like. I notice you didn't mention my saying "I thought this was a HELP forum "

I agree it is a help forum and a very good one. And yes you can do a quiz whenever you like, but just bear in mind that there will be some quizzes who haven’t even started this quiz yet. That’s their choice and has no bearing on when you start the quiz. However, there’s only one reason you didn’t give the date and that’s because you knew that most helpers on here wouldn’t answer if they saw a closing date 5 months in advance. A little honesty goes a long way.

Not putting the closing date had nothing to do with my request for an answer. I simply had a question for the crossword help forum. There was no reason for you to make a reply to my request if you were not happy about it. All you had to do was .... not answer !

If I want to reply to a thread, I think you’ll find that’s my choice, not yours.

Bad choice ..... bad reply !

I don’t think I should be threatened by the OP when all I’m doing is adding some information about the closing date of this quiz.
