Well done Paulh and thanks Chrise.
Thanks for your vote Jafo - I`ve been to Hove (actually!) for the cricket so have enjoyed some of the local ales such as Harvey`s.

Congrats PaulH, hope you have opportunity to sample an Irish whiskey (with an E) soon! 🥃
Many thanks Faiton for the vote, much appreciated, that one took me ages to devise.
Thanks Chris, hope you’re back on the golf course soon!
Tyke, Harvey’s, I’m jealous!

Hi buddy

If I had been voting, yours would have been my pick, which is why I wanted you to get it right!

The overall standard was very high, though. Great clue, paulH (though whiskEy surely would have been better?)

Didn't enter but enjoyed the prize. Her No Mans Land/Flowers of the Forest from 'Ashes and Diamonds' always requires a hankie dab of the eyes. Quite heart wrenching, particularly if you know your Irish history.

Oh dear, I am properly shamed by the whisk(e)y, but thanks for the like from faiton and the votes from Aristo, fieryjack, Paul and Jono.

Thanks for the comp. and the prize, Chrise. I expect you fooled a lot of us by not choosing the 'Long way...' song itself. Btw a buddy win would have reminded me of the 1908 Olympic marathon!

Congrats, Paul H. And I'm all for the "e" as well. In fact, I have a bottle of Jameson here that might see a few pours this evening. (It's still just 2:30 PM here.)

Well done, Paulh, I'll raise a glass to your clue, though perhaps not a whiskey/whisky.
Cheers, Chrise - haunting music. My forebear came from Tipperary, albeit not willingly...
