In 29a It looks like both "pleasant" and "occasionally" could be superfluous but "occasionally" fits with 34a - if that's right, how does "pleasant" form part of the wordplay in 29a?

Cancel that, I've just seen the etymology of her name in the bible is "pleasant".

That’s what I think, Xwdfan, so where does bats go in? Perhaps 26d, but in that case I would have a spare word from 14a to find a home for. I also seem to have an extra word from 10a to fit in. I have a full grid, but as often happens there’s a problem with extra words! An enjoyable puzzle otherwise.

1a, 18a , 24a, 27a, 31a, 33a, 1d, 10d and 13d

Which one have I left out?

I agree with 'bats' going into 26d.
I've got the word from 10a going into 4d, and the word from 14a going into 5d.
