Quisling, thanks for that. She’s busy looking on the computer and can only come up with an army centre! I’m lost too. Didn’t detract from an excellent puzzle. But she won’t rest!

It’s a commonly used abbreviation in crossword circles, so you may need to revisit your letters

I have a full grid, I've found the quote and done a replacement in the grid. I'm somewhat confused by 14 and 24 d however. Are they just straightforward anagrams?

Thanks son1ofrover1. I was expecting something clever or erudite linked to the replacement but just have two words, seemingly unconnected to each other or anything else. Perhaps I'm just being thick - wouldn't be the first time!

In the same position with 14 and 24. Have 2 words formed from anagram of the prologue material, but can't see any other connection with the source.
