I think it is about time I bought a new copy of Chambers. I got mine in 1964 and it doesn’t number the definitions however the sixth one In the list in my copy is lease. Is that it? Thanks
Ours not to figure out the ways of cyberspace Drxx. In my old 1998 edition (I have two later editions) 'lease' is given as is also its past participle plus a word beginning with T meaning a block of flats or dwellings.
I come late to this puzzle but all seems to have gone smoothly except unclued 16D. I have C?M?B?I?L?S and after trying two words (6,5) suspect I have gone astray somewhere through the puzzle. Help needed from a kind solver please
Truron, your letters look a little odd - though most of them are in the actual answer! You should start C?M... and end L?S, but your B and I are out of position. You need a word, a single word, meaning 'food' in general.
