Thanks both - never heard of that. I know the pencils, though!

I'm currently reading the "Port Danby" detective stories by London Lovett, which include a cat named after a quotation from the Poe chatacter!

Don't get me started on pencils, Chris! I always used Kasisma colour pencils, they are by far the best, or rather were, unfortunately, they're no longer in business. This means that people like myself have to scour eBay in the hope of tracking down any old sets:-(

Agree with ChrisE, didn't find it too difficult, but otherwise agree with Brendan - a marvellous puzzle with some cracking clues!
