You highlight the problem with arcinds. This and the starred clues were worthy of mention but had a quibble to keep them off the podium.

FWIW #9 has 2 defs out of 3 that are too close
#29 a bit too risque old chap !
#40/42 has an extra guy
#40 p=money seems a tiny bit too vague, 'little money' maybe

It's all subjective anyway.

my comments weren't in any way directed at your judgement and you rightly point out subjectivity is paramount but even in the weeks I've not submitted clues I've always looked in and I've noted the regularity of similar structure in quite a lot of acrostic type clues. As always my comments are intended as constructive, although not always received as such, but after all I believe one of the purposes of Clueless is to enable us all improve our clue writing skills and feedback (which used to be more prevalent) should help.

My bugbear with acrostics is when the indicator is singular ('to start' or 'heading'), so it could just refer to one word, not a string of them.
