I have got a bit stuck with the endgame. I know the subject matter , but can't work out how to enter "the newly arrived group and the weapon's final location". Could anyone provide a nudge please?

For 29 you need to move up the last letter of the penultimate word to give an obscure (from Greek or Latin) example of the answer.

tonynannini - look again at the last line of the preamble regarding real words.

...if you begin by entering the newly arrived group (without affecting any other entries) the rest will just fall into place.

Just one last question . I have the empty cells in groups of 4 and 10 letters ? Am I to assume that 9 down will be the "empy" original location?

6 for 'priests' think 'wise men' and 'bag' the necessary end letter.
7 is backwards in the clue once a letter taken from the first word has been added back in.
