30d "Rabbit on table - the rabbit cages" (7)

B?E?H?R. looks like BLETHER for rabbit (talk) and can see THE being caged, but where would does table and the other rabbit fit?

Any help much appreciated

It's just hidden - so you need the Table!

Ta blether abbit.

The first Rabbit is the definition, the other one is part of the wordplay, involved in the containment.

Thanks yet again malone; that's allowed me to finish after quite a struggle this week

I enjoyed this, still got a few gaps, but a vast improvement on last week. Thanks for the parsing of 37 and 57a which had foxed me, as do these two:

5d Marked as finished and rated (6,3)
Ticked off, but can that mean rated?

7d Protection for one quaking as fraud is around (9)
Safeguard?

7 Anagram of eg, for one, and 'as fraud'.

5 yes - TICKED OFF is also criticised or "rated"
7 anagram AS FRAUD around e.g. which is (very loosely) "for one".

5 'Rate' meaning 'chide, to reprove...' is in Chambers so it seems fine.

Thanks, hadn't heard "rate" used like that.
